Jealousy isn't the enemy

Why that knot in your stomach is part of the fantasy, and how to tell useful jealousy from a red flag.

People new to cuckolding or hotwifing often expect jealousy to vanish once they’re “into it.” It usually doesn’t, and it doesn’t need to.

Jealousy can be part of the thrill

For a lot of people, the sting is exactly what makes it exciting. Arousal and jealousy are close cousins.

When it’s useful

Jealousy is a signal. It often points to a need: more reassurance, more time together, slowing down. Name it, then ask what would help.

When it’s a red flag

If jealousy turns into dread, if one of you is going along with things to keep the peace, or if fights don’t get resolved, stop and reset. The fantasy should never cost you the relationship.

Try this

After your next experience, each say one moment you felt compersion and one you felt jealous. Don’t fix anything, just listen.
