Cuckolding

He's aroused by his partner being with someone else, often with an element of humiliation or surrender that sets it apart from hotwifing.

What it is

Cuckolding is a fantasy or practice where a man gets pleasure from his partner having sex with someone else. The difference from hotwifing is usually emotional tone: cuckolding often leans into his surrender, jealousy or playful humiliation, where hotwifing centers her freedom and his pride.

Variations

  • Soft. No humiliation, just the thrill of her being with someone else.
  • Humiliation play. Teasing, comparison and verbal play, all pre-agreed.
  • Service. He takes a supporting role before, during or after.
  • Long-distance. Texts, photos and stories rather than being present.

Why it appeals

Jealousy and arousal live close together in the brain. For some men, letting go of control is a huge release. For their partners, being the center of that much attention, and holding the power, can be just as exciting.

How to bring it up

Be honest about which parts excite you. Saying “the idea of you with someone else turns me on” opens the door without assuming the humiliation side is wanted too.

Ground rules

  • Humiliation is a game you both chose. Agree on words and topics that are off-limits.
  • Aftercare matters: plan time to reconnect afterwards.
  • Revisit the arrangement regularly. What’s hot in fantasy can feel different in reality.
